Hello! I'm Linda Nguyen and welcome to my site. It's a place for me to share yummy recipes, my photography and all the crazy ramblings that float about in my head. I started blogging in 2007 on my first blog Butter Sugar Flour and decided to create Toasty Biscuit last year simply because I wanted a fresh canvas to start with, but truthfully, I started again because the back end of my first blog was really messy and I was too lazy to clean it up, haha.
I work in digital media sales during the week, am a part-time photographer on the weekends and a constant learner and daydreamer. Photography, coffee, music, anything yellow and my hometown of Melbourne make me happy.
What else about me? Well, here's twenty three random things:
I have many nicknames, with my favourites being Lindy and Linds.
I have a really unhealthy obsession with my iPhone4 and I am always online.
I can polish off a pint of ice cream in ten minutes.
I shoot with a Nikon D300, a Nikkor 50mm f1.4 and Nikon 35mm f2.0.
I also shoot film and own a Hasselblad 500c.
I love sangria (and wine, spirits, cider - so basically anything with alcohol).
I am really, really slow at editing photos.
I watch 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family and The Office.
I used to be a barista and I am pretty good at latte art.
I never take myself seriously and self-deprecation is my middle name.
I love to eat and my big ass is sheer proof of that.
I own over one hundred cookie cutters that I never use.
I have a best friend in NYC and she has her own awesome blog.
I want my own ice cream shop one day.
I am a nerdburger and I am coyote.
I listen to hip hop, soul and anything with a good beat.
I write all my text messages in full sentence form.
I have two tattoos, with one on each wrist.
I must have ketchup and lots of salt on my fries. Always.
I am a true Gemini - outgoing, talkative, curious and unpredictable.
I never keep up with my RSS reader.
I drive like a maniac.
I love to belt out a song in karaoke.
